چکیده

So far, trust evaluation models depend highly on collected evidences, which are mainly in the form of ratings, to produce trust values [3]. However, many situations require agents to form groups to provide more complicated services (composite services); meanwhile, consumers rate the quality of a composite service as a whole rather than individual group members [2]. Namely, all providers, who are in charge of the sub-services, are not rated individually. The lack of effective rating distribution mechanism has produced a gap in trust management systems since it causes the missing evidence of the members joined in composite services; thus, it can affect the robustness of trust evaluation models. To distribute a group rating is a non-trivial problem, especially when the given ratings could damage agents’ reputation. The subjective and indivisible nature of ratings restricts the use of fair-division [1] approaches in finding a solution. Under uncertainty assumption of members’ contribution and group structures, self-interest members could argue that they performed well and lay the blame on others for any undesirable rating of the group. To distribute group rating while reducing the conflict of interest of members, this paper proposes an evidence-based approach, considers supporting facts related to the performance of members to distribute the group rating. Firstly, we develop a communication protocol to cope with collecting evidence in distributed environment. We form the performance graph from the social relations of members and then distribute group ratings based on obtained graph characteristics.

Asymptotically Idempotent Aggregation Operators for Trust Management in Multi-agent Systems

The study of trust management in multi-agent system, especially distributed, has grown over the last years. Trust is a complex subject that has no general consensus in literature, but has emerged the importance of reasoning about it computationally. Reputation systems takes into consideration the history of an entity’s actions/behavior in order to compute trust, collecting and aggregating ratin...

Decentralized Reputation Management for Cooperating Software Agents in Open Multi-Agent Systems

Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) promise a new advance in distributed computing. In MAS autonomous software agents flexibly cooperate, coordinate and compete to provide the desired function(s) of such a system. If some components of a MAS fail or do not provide the desired functionality, the system is expected to autonomously deal with this situation. It is desirable to reduce occurrences of such situ...

Adaptive Distributed Consensus Control for a Class of Heterogeneous and Uncertain Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems

This paper has been devoted to the design of a distributed consensus control for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems in the strict-feedback form. The communication between the agents has been described by a directed graph. Radial-basis function neural networks have been used for the approximation of the uncertain and heterogeneous dynamics of the followers as well as the effect o...

Security in Multi-Agent Systems: JADE-S goes Distributed ABSTRACT - SECURITY IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR ANY SYSTEM USED IN COMMERCIAL

SECURITY IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR ANY SYSTEM USED IN COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS. DISTRIBUTED AND DYNAMIC SYSTEMS RAISE NEW ISSUES CONCERNING PERFORMANCE, SCALABILITY AND SECURITY MANAGEMENT. DISTRIBUTED MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS, LEVERAGING AGENT’S AUTONOMY AND MOBILITY, REQUIRE EVEN GREATER ATTENTION TO SECURITY ISSUES. THEREFORE AGENT PLATFORMS MUST PROVIDE POWERFUL AND FLEXIBLE SECURITY MECHANISMS ...

Computational Intelligence DISTRIBUTED REPUTATION MANAGEMENT FOR ELECTRONIC COMMERCE

One of the major challenges for electronic commerce is how to establish a relationship of trust between different parties. Establishing trust is nontrivial, because the traditional physical or social means of trust cannot apply directly in virtual settings. In many cases, the parties involved may not ever have interacted before. Reputation systems seek to address the development of trust by rec...
